Woodridge Lollipop Loop

START TIME – We’ll meet at 8:00 AM at the Long Canyon trailhead parking lot (described below) in Simi Valley.
DESCRIPTION OF HIKE: About 4.3 miles round-trip with around 800’ of elevation gain/loss (Moderate). We’ll begin by hiking the Woodridge Connector Trail, then head west to the Woodridge Loop Trail, looping around back to the Woodridge Connector Trail which will lead us back to our vehicles.
PREPAREDNESS: Bring 2-3 liters/quarts of water (or other suitable liquid) and lunch/snack. Wear appropriate footwear (preferably hiking boots) and be prepared for bright sunlight (sunglasses), heat (layers of clothing), and/or precipitation (rain gear). Hiking pole(s) and a camera might come in handy.
DIRECTIONS TO THE LONG CANYON TRAILHEAD PARKING LOT IN SIMI VALLEY – Wood Ranch near the junction of Long Canyon Road and Wood Ranch Parkway – NOTE: You should be at this location by 8:00 AM.
o Take Hwy 118 to the Madera Road exit.
o Head (south) 2.9 miles on Madera Road to Wood Ranch Parkway.
o Turn left (south) onto Wood Ranch Parkway and drive 1.9 miles to its junction with Long Canyon Road.
o Turn right (west) on Long Canyon Road and drive 100 feet to the driveway leading into the trailhead parking lot.
o Turn left into the Long Canyon Trail trailhead parking lot.
o Park and wait for the leader(s).
