DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD: (Located at 17300 Sesnon Blvd in Granada Hills) Head east on Hwy 118 from Simi Valley. Drive about 11 miles east on Hwy 118 to the Balboa Blvd exit [before you reach its junction with Interstate 405] and take it. Turn left/north onto Balboa Blvd and drive 2.3 miles to its junction (on the left) with Sesnon Blvd. NOTE: You’ll pass the following street intersections on the left before you reach Sesnon Blvd: Louise Avenue, Neon Way, Jolette Avenue & Tuscan Drive. Turn left/west onto Sesnon Blvd and drive 0.6 mile to the entrance (on the right) into O’Melveny Park. Drive into the O’Melveny Park parking lot.

After parking in O’Melveny Park in Granada Hills, we’ll walk along Sesnon Blvd to Neon Way which we’ll follow a short distance to the lower end of the Sulphur Spring Fire Road (aka the Dr. Mario A. DeCampos Trail). We’ll follow it up to Mission Point where there are expansive views of the San Fernando Valley. When we return we’ll follow the Grotto Trail down into lovely O’Melveny Park (the second largest public park in Los Angeles).
